Scope and Contents
'Commentaire sur le chapitre de Causis du concordat pass a Boulogne entre Leon Xe et Francois Ier en l'ann 1516', a commentary on the chapter De Causis in the 1516 Concordat (pp.143-185 of a longer work). It is written in a single hand, with annotations, some of which are in another hand. The 1516 concordat between Leo x (giovanni de medici, 1475-1521), Pope, 1513-1521, and Francis I (1494-1557), King of France, 1515-1557, granted the French King the right to nominate bishops. (bishops 1557-1589)
