Scope and Contents
'A catalogue of a collection of British and American books on morals, etiquette, callisthenics, costume, pastimes, letter-writing, conversation, domestic economy and servants, the majority published between 1837 and 1914, in the possession of Mrs Sheila Munby at 24 Millington Road, Cambridge', typescript card entries stuck into a volume. There is an accompanying letter from Sheila Munby to David McKitterick, 2 February [1981], regarding the catalogue, and another from James M. Wells, Associate Director, The Newberry Library, Chicago, to Mrs Munby, 23 October 1973, regarding the purchase of courtesy books from her, with an invitation card to their grand opening.
