Immediate Source of Acquisition

The volume was purchased from the bookseller Thomas Rodd by Sir Thomas Phillipps in 1848, and became MS 16988 in his library. It was part of the sale of his collection at Sotheby's on 26 June 1973 where it was bought by the Library.
