The book was formerly part of Bassingbourn Parish Library, founded by Edward Nightingale in 1717. The library was purchased by the Universities of Cambridge and Essex in 1969, and the contents divided between the two institutions. Purchased by the Library with the Bassingbourn Parish Library, 1969.
