Immediate Source of Acquisition
This collection was presented to the Library in 1972 by the Church Missionary Society to which it had been given by Miss D.G. Le Faye on behalf of the widow of the Reverend G.E.C. Knapp. Mr Knapp was the Honorary Organising Secretary of the Winchester Diocesan mission in Mandalay from 1948 and presumably acquired the photographs in the course of his work.
