Correspondence mainly from members of the Clarke family of Shropshire to the Newling family, of which many are from William Clarke (d 1771) antiquary, and from E. D. Clarke (d 1822), the traveller, later Cambridge University Librarian.
Volume with sheets, mostly correspondence, running to number 115 mounted inside. Other items include newspaper cuttings and ledger pages. Item numbered 1 missing, items 2-3 loose in front of item.
