Immediate Source of Acquisition
MSS.Add.6907-6908, and 6910-6913 were the originally the property of Francis Fane Lambarde (1868-1948), Brigadier General and antiquary. MS.Add.6909 belonged to S.S. Smythe, lord chief baron, and later to F.F. Lambarde. MS.Add.6912 belonged to the Lambarde family from at least 1634.
