Scope and Contents

Includes: nomination of subsidy collectors in Gloucestershire, 1 May 4 Henry VIII; list of names found in unspecified documents, c. 1707 (same hand as Add. 60/2/3); copy of epitaph for Mrs Dorcas Martyn (née Graves, d. 1723); summons to Samuel Graves to register descents and arms, 1682; Graves family pedigree with sketch of arms; bookplates. Richard Graves: certificate of subscription to articles, signed by H. Aldrich, vice-chancellor of Oxford University, 30 June 1693; certificate of successful examination while at Pembroke College, Oxford, 1700; order of leave of absence from Lincoln's Inn, 31 Oct. 1693. Copies of medieval grants; extracts from Domesday Book relating to lands of Evesham Abbey; extracts from 'Liber de copiis evidentiarum', belonging to Thomas Clopton of Clopton (see V.C.H. Warwickshire, 3, p.262).

From Samuel Knight DD, prebend of Ely and rector of Bluntisham, Hunts (d. 1746), the MS. descended to John Percy Baumgartner of Milton, Cambs., who presented it to the Library in 1861.
