Scope and Contents
A series of sketches and plans, mostly of hill forts in India, with a map of settlements in New South Wales (fo. 75), a sketch of Tristan da Cunha (fo. 78), views near Cork (fos 78 and 83), and maps of parts of Arabia and the Persian Gulf (fo. 87), 109 folios. The original artist is named in the following cases: Capt H. Mitchel (fos 9 and 14), Capt. J.J. O'Donoghue (fos 12, 27, 34, 41, 42, 47, 49, 53, 81, 95 and 106), Lieut. Nutt, Bombay Engineers (fo. 16), Semboo Sing (fos 54, 55 and 58), and Capt. Cunningham (fo. 104). The plan on fo. 15 is taken from a sketch by Lieut. McLeod, and that on fo. 23 from a sketch by Capt. Steele.
