The present copy, perhaps contemporary with original readings, includes matter omitted from printed versions; (fos 41-2) notes on copyhold cases, in French; (fos 54-58v) reading of -- Gardiner on inheritance, Mich. Term 1575; (from back of book, fo. 188v) notes on disseisors, in French; (fo. 187v) verses titled 'Hector upon the distruccion of Troye', 12 ll., in English; (fo. 183v) notes on good government, in English; (fos 182v-178v) preface to William Fleetwood, Office of a Justice of the Peace, first published 1658.
