Scope and Contents

The statement of Sir Thomas's claim, which includes (fo. 11) a pedigree of the descendants of Sir William Beauchamp, 1st Baron Bergavenny, ends at fo. 53, and is followed (fo. 53a-b) by a double-page 'Catalogue of the barons of Bergavenny from the Conquest' in form of a pedigree, and by (fos 54v-79) a series of pedigrees to illustrate succession to baronies through a female heir. (fo. 81) answers to objections re descent of title.
