A list of persons created peers, William I - Elizabeth I, with short notes on each, and a description of arms. On fos. 1-22 and occasionally thereafter there are sketches of arms in the margin. fo. 83v: rough accounts. fos. 84-85: mostly torn away fos. 59, 73-83r: blank. fo.: i: 'Susan Smyth' in an eighteenth-century hand; scribbling; traces of three seals. fo. 83v: 'Tho. Lindsey BP of Petriburg', in an eighteenth-century hand.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Belonged to Samuel Knight DD, prebend of Ely and rector of Bluntisham, Hunts. After Knight's death in 1746, the MS. descended to John Percy Baumgartner of Milton, Cambs., who presented it to the Library in 1859.
