Newnham College photograph album
Scope and Contents
Album contains a variety of annotated photographs of sporting events (rowing, hockey, lacrosse, tennis), sports teams and college life at Newnham College dating between 1920 and 1923. Contains two postcards, one addressed to Mrs E.H. Green postmarked 19 April 1954. The name of the compiler is uncertain but she was likely an Newnham undergraduate. The names of many individuals appearing in the album are included in full or as initials. Of particular note are two photographs and instructions relating to the visit of Prince (later Emperor) Hirohito of Japan to the College in 1921.
