Manuscript, typescript and printed papers of and relating to Holbrook Jackson. The collection includes: letters to Jackson from Edward Carpenter (three, 1911-1916), G. C. Williamson (one, 1927), George Underwood (one, 1927), Marley Denwood (one, 1931), and Eric A. McDonald (one, 1950 -- apparently addressed to Jackson posthumously); letters and postcards from Holbrook Jackson to his brother John Charles Jackson (1901-1948); postcards from Holbrook Jackson to other members of his family, including his daughter Gwen; horoscope of Jackson (1918) and astrological analysis of his character; proof of 'Lunch' by Daniel George, with autograph proof corrections by Jackson, 1933; tribute to Jackson by Cecil Roberts [1948]; letter from Francis Meynell to Miss G[wen] Jackson, 1948, and an appreciation by Meynell read at Jackson's funeral (two copies and original typescript drafts; 'Holbrook Jackson - 1874-1948', script for a radio talk by Daniel George; card signed by James Joyce; photographic prints, subjects including Jackson, Ralph Hodgson, Kelmscott Manor, residences of George Meredith, and Queen Mary visiting the Artificial Silk Exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall, accompanied by Holbrook Jackson and others; newspaper cuttings; printed items, including lectures and articles by Jackson, offprints and ephemera, a memorial catalogue of library of Holbrook Jackson, and signed menus for 'To-Day' dinners, 1922 and 1923.
