1 collection (Volume one is grangerized including a letter from Alfred Newton to Thomas Parkin, 6 November 1882 inviting Parkin to view eggs at the 'New Museums' and a letter from Yarrell 8 August 1834 on fish species, as well as annotations by Parkin on verso of front end-paper following contents page and verso of title page. Volume three contains one item of manuscript correspondence from Howard Saunders to Parkin. There are further annotations (mainly corrections) by Parkin throughout in ink and pencil annotations by a later hand with modern species names.)
