The collection mainly comprises manuscripts, notebooks, correspondence, maps and drawings relating to the following excavations and surveys: Hierakonpolis, 1898-1900; El Kab, 1896, 1902; the Bucheum, 1930; Nubia, 1906, 1909-10; the Eastern Desert, 1897-1900, 1902, 1910; the Fayum and the Western Desert, 1908-9.
