Thomas Clarke, ironmonger, of Bury St. Edmunds, and Thomas Sparrowe, gent., of Isleham, in consideration of £80 paid to Thomas Clarke and 5/- to Thos. Sparrow (here acknowledged) by John Gates, yeoman, of Fordham sell to John Gates all there 9 acres , 3 1/2 roods in Fordham with appurtenances. Sometime the land of John Stubbing...To the use of John Gates and his heirs. Signed by Thomas Sparrowe and Thomas Clarke, with seals attached. Witnessed by John Greene and Samuel Burroughs.
