Samuel Winston, clerk, of Great Everdon, Northants., acknowledges receipt of £300 from William Holwell, yeoman, of Little Everdon, Northants., as the whole purchase money of lands in Gt. Everdon mentioned in a pair of indentures dated 2 May 1677. Signed by Samuel Winston, seal attached. Witnessed by Thomas Paine and Mary Turner.
