View of frankpledge and Court Baron of William Laude, Bp. of London, for Manor of Ashwell, before Charles Halloway, esq., 19 Apr. 1631. To the court comes Humphrey Mickley by his attorney John Clark, gent., and by virtue of a surrender...made on 22 Apr. 1629 sought to be admitted to a messuage lying in the west end of Ashwell and was admitted for life with remainder to Alice Pettitt, wife of Andrew Pettitt and their heirs etc...And he is admitted...Signed by Charles Halloway, steward, as examined by him.
