Scope and Contents
John Thornton, gent., of Soham, Cambs., leases to William Hynckyn, husbandman, of Thetford, Cambs., for a term of 6 years at £18 p.a. The place to be kept in repair, exc. 'the great tymber' and his not to cut or lop trees. Half of the great barn in excepted from the lease and John Thornton etc. is to have impress at any time. Signed by Will. Hynckyn, by a mark which might be W.H. Remains of a seal attached. Witnessed by Oliver Robens, John Peches, Edward Croply, and John Croply (names all written by the clerk).
