Scope and Contents
Thomas Crofte of Ditton, son and heir of Nicholas Crofte, sells to John Barnes of Farnworth certain land in Ditton to be held of the chief lord or lords, free of all incumbrances, especially the dower of Ellen wife of Thomas Crofte. Witnesses: Henry Taylor of Farnworth, Thomas Barbar, Thomas Mather of Bold. Certificate of delivery of livery and seisin appears on the back. Date: 29 January 1657. Witnesses: John Weller, John Leigh the younger. Thomas Crofte's seal is attached.
