Scope and Contents

Having received a special livery from the crown in all the lands of his late father, John Buckland esq, John Buckland the son has delivered into court a schedule of the lands in question (attached) and undertakes to Sir Nicholas Bacon, lord keeper of the great seal and attorney of the court of wards and liveries, Robert Kelway esq, surveyor of the liveries, and William Damsel, receiver-general of the court of wards, to pay the queen her dues from the land, and not to hinder any official survey thereof. The estates are valued at a little over œ35 per annum. Signed and sealed by Bacon, Kelway, and Damsel. Single sheet with schedule annexed. Contemporary endorsement of identification.
