Scope and Contents
In consideration of 24s, Ralph Cutebald and Katherine his wife, Geoffrey de Bradefeud, clerk, and Beatrice his wife, quitclaim to Geoffrey Leberd of Schattegrave and to his wife Avelina all their portion in a messuage once held by Simon de Sancto Leonardo in the parish of St Helen in Holmstrete [Norwich], which lies between land of the aforesaid Geoffrey Leberd to the west and land once of Wymer de Plumstede to the east, extending from the highway to the meadow of John Herman, 16 ft wide in the south and 24 ft wide at the north. Witnessed by Ralph de Katton', William, son of William Palmer of Catton', Alexander de Karkeby, Peter de Catton', John Heued, John Silvestre, John Faber, Robert, son of Robert le May, Roger clerk, and others. Four tags, with remains of two pendant white seals, one oval with fleur-de-lys device, the other round with a floral device. Endorsed in a near-contemporary hand: 'Holmstrete'.
