Gift of land, [Hackthorn?], Lincolnshire
Scope and Contents
In consideration of half a mark, Adam de Hakthorn confirms his gift to Payn son of Reginald Tynnye (?), of one rod in a meadow called 'Westmedue', between land called 'Longe Londe' and land of Nicholas le Fis' (?), and abutting on a meadow of the said Adam to the south and meadow of John son of Armegard to the north, reserving an annual rent of three pence, with a farthing for all services. Witnessed by Robert and Hugh de Men[lesh'?], John son of Nicholas, Bartholomew de Colne[s?]ho and Helyas his son, William de Suthtun, Walter clerk, John coto (?), William son of Ralph, Ralph his son, William de Ballang', and others. Tagged pendant green oval seal (damaged) of Adam de Hakthorn. Endorsed in later hand: 'Reddit' prati'.
