Witnessing that, since John de Lile, 'seignour de Rouge Mount', has given to John Malwayn, citizen of London, his heirs and assigns, 20s annual rent from what is now the manor of John Avenel of Wynpol [Wimpole, Cambridgeshire], or from the advowson of the church of Wimpole, as is shown by a writing belonging to the said Malwayn, Avenel undertakes to pay the said charge in specified instalments. At Wimpole, indenture, witnessed by Henry de Colvill, Thomas de Chelers, Waryn de Bassingbourn, Constans de Mortemer, knight, John Bengayn, John de Shardelowe, John de Ellerton, and others. Tagged pendant red round seal with abstract device. No legible endorsement.
