William Bassett, clerk, Thomas Bredon of Stoke-juxta-Clare, Richard Gauge of the same, Richard Clerk of Clare, and Robert Chapman of Pampesworth [Pampisford, Cambridgeshire?], confirm to Richard Hawkesby of Pampesworth, John Mortlake senior, John Mortlake junior, Thomas Freberne, and Robert Say of the same their gift of a building known 'ab antiquo' as 'Cleyeris', lying in Pampesworth, between the tenement of Robert Chapman and the highway, and abutting on 'Chauntreyerd' at one end and the highway at the other. John Brome junior of Pampesworth is appointed attorney to deliver seisin. At Pampesworth, deed poll, witnessed by John Gower, John Swyft, William Gylson, John Freman, John York, and many others. Traces of five pendant red seals on tags cut from cancelled indentures.
