Settlement prior to the marriage between John Pigott esq, of Abington Pigotts, Cambridgeshire, and Frances Chester, daughter of Sir Robert Chester of Royston, Hertfordshire. In consideration of #1,000 paid to him by Chester, Pigott settles various properties in Abington Pigotts (alias Abington juxta Shingay), Littlington, Steeple Morden and Bassingbourn, Cambridgeshire, on his bride-to-be as her jointure, and in provision for their children. Some properties are leased to Chester and his two sons Robert and Granado in trust to provide for daughters' marriages.
