Agreement in commutation of tithes, Hildersham, Cambridgeshire
Scope and Contents
Agreement between interests representing at least two-thirds of land subject to tithes in the parish of Hildersham, Cambridgeshire, and the Revd Charles Goodwin, rector of the parish, for the apportionment of a rent-charge of Â423 15s in lieu of tithes. Over Hall, Hildersham, 21 June, confirmed 5 Sep 1837. Official copy on Form No 1, with annexed schedule of six pages, tied with green tape. Stamped for receipt by, and with wafer seal of the tithe commissioners, 18 July 1840. With covering note re Archibald Swinton, dated 13 Oct 1942.
