Scope and Contents
Whereas the Company of Conservators of the Great Level of the Fens assessed certain land in Burwell among other land at a certain sum in taxes and penalties by virtue of the Act of Parliament by which they were appointed, which sum is in arrears; and whereas Francis Wyat who ought to have paid it is in default and the Conservators have exposed the land to sale; the Conservators sell to James Collier of March, Cambridgeshire, the land in question, to him and his heirs to the use of him and his heirs for ever free from taxes. Endorsed on the back: 'Sealed by Order of the Corporation dated 22 April 1768. C. N. Cole, Registrar. One seal is attached.
