Scope and Contents
John and Joan Hore, Thomas and Joan Loundres, all of Ellysfeld [Elsfield], Oxfordshire, lease a close of pasture called Rywurthe and an adjacent house called Dey House in the manor of Elsfield, to Hugh Benet, and to William Swanborne of Oxford, for 20 years at an annual rent of 10 marks. Counterpart: Doc 3913. Indenture, witnessed by William Makkenay, William Cok, John H[e]ye, Henry Merkam, Adam ?On'way, and others. Two pendant red round seals (slightly damaged) with what appear to be monogram devices, on single tag. Sixteenth and seventeenth-century identifying endorsements. In pencil at top-right: '15'.
