Scope and Contents

Whereas a marriage has been solemnised between Frederick Solly Flood of Trinity College, Cambridge and Mary Williamson, daughter of the Reverend Thomas Williamson of Mayfair; and whereas it was agreed that a certain sum advanced by Thomas Williamson to his daughter should be invested; and whereas the sum has been advanced and invested in the names of Henry Meredyth of Carlanstown, Meath, Ireland, and Captain Ferdinand Thomas Williamson, son of Thomas Williamson; and whereas Frederick Solly Flood has transferred a certain sum to the names of the same on certain trusts: Henry Meredyth and Ferdinand Thomas Williamson are to stand possessed of the sums on trust to pay the interest of the second sum to Mary Solly Flood for life and the interest of the first sum to the same during the joint lives of herself and her husband and then to the survivor for life to his or her own absolute use; on the death of the survivor both sums are to be paid to the child or children of them as they shall direct, in default of such direction as the survivor shall direct or bequeath, in default of such direction or bequest to the child or children so as to become a vested interest when they attain their majority or if daughters attain their majority or marry, the trustees to lay out the interest for the benefit of the children till the sums become vested interests; if there are no children the second sum is to be paid to the survivor, the first to the wife if she survive; if the husband survive it is to be paid to those whom the wife directs, in default of direction to the wife's next-of-kin; the husband or wife may advance part of the sums to the children, and the trustees may dispose of them with the consent of the husband and wife; the husband and wife may appoint other trustees in place of the present or future ones. Witnesses: for Frederick Solly Flood, Mary his wife and Ferdinand Thomas Williamson: Henry Allen Lagden, Rector of Weston Colville; for Thomas Williamson : the same.
