Scope and Contents
In consideration of #204, the master, fellows and scholars of St John's College, Cambridge, lease to John Hall esq of Weston Colville, Cambridgeshire, a farm called Browns with 67 acres of arable land in Weston Colville (reserving timber rights), for 20 years from Michaelmas next, at an annual rent of #6, two quarters of wheat, and two quarters of malt. Clauses regulating aspects of husbandry and against unauthorised alienation. Iindenture, sealed with college seal, duty stamps. With plan of premises. Endorsed with calculations of rent and expiry date, and endorsed in red: 'Not renewed / by General Hall'. Parchment supplied by John Smith of Long Acre, engraving by Silvester of The Strand.
