Scope and Contents

By a process of lease and release dated 16/17 Apr 1714, John Frohock of Cambridge, gent, and Margaret his wife, and George Frohock of Cambridge, milliner, and Penelope his wife, mortgaged for #257 10s four tenements in the parish of Great St Mary, Cambridge, to William Godfrey of Wimpole, Cambridgeshire, gent, and John Browne of Royston and Thriplow, gent. George Frohock has since been declared bankrupt and John Frohock has died; #284 10s is currently owed. Now, in consideration of #30 10s, the Frohocks' heirs at law: Jerome Knapp of Watling St, London, haberdasher, in the case of George, and John's son George Frohock, release to Godfrey all their remaining equitable rights in the property. Indenture, signed and sealed by Knapp and Frohock, witnessed by Thomas Potter of the Three Tunns, 'Watlyn St' and John Michell, attorney; duty stamps. Endorsed with receipt for consideration money, same date, signed by Knapp, same witnesses.
