Scope and Contents
In consideration of #40, John Adams of Cambridge, carpenter, assigns the residue of his lease of a tenement in the parish of All Saints, Cambridge (Doc 3722) to James Bucke esq of the Middle Temple. 27 Sep 1679 (31 Charles II), indenture, signed and sealed by Adams, witnessed by John Benley, Thomas Daines, and Robert Warall. Endorsed with acknowledgement by Bucke that the consideration money was that of his father Dr James Bucke, and that the property is to be held in trust for his sister Felicitas Daines, she paying the reserved rent and having full responsibility for repairs, 14 Oct 1679, signed and sealed by Bucke, witnessed by James Bucke snr, Thomas Gay, and Thomas? Griffin. Further endorsed with an assignment by James Bucke jnr of his interest in the property to Thomas Daines of Cambridge, carpenter, signed and sealed by Bucke, witnessed by J Baker, William Jarman, and Mary Thomas, duty stamps.
