Bond of indemnity, Royston, Hertfordshire
Scope and Contents
William Nicholas, tailor, Tomazsin Nicholas, widow, and James Nicholas, shoemaker, all of St Neots, Huntingdonshire, stand bound in #20 to absolve the authorities and townsfolk of Royston from all responsibility for the maintenance or education of William Nicholas's illigitimate daughter by Elizabeth Lodge of Royston. Sealed by and with the marks of William, Tomazsin, and James Nicholas, witnessed by William Rustell, Benjamin Scruby, Thomas Parsons and Thomas ?Buchet; duty stamps.
