Scope and Contents
Certifying that by his will dated 10 Dec 1762 Francis Hide, late copyhold tenant of the manor of Sutton, bequeathed a life interest in his 'piece or parcel of fenn or marish ground called Four Menmaths lying in the Wash in Sutton ... being part or parcel of Five Menmaths' in North Medlands, manor of Sutton, to his daughter Jane, wife of Benjamin Haddock, the same passing thereafter to the Haddocks' daughter Jane and her heirs. Also that Jane Haddock the mother is now admitted, upon payment of an undisclosed fine, to the aforesaid land at an unchanged annual rent of 3s. Copy of court roll, examined by Charles Greene esq, steward; duty stamp. Lords of the manor are not identified.
