Scope and Contents
Alice Adam of Great Eversden, widow, quitclaims to William Adam of the same place, yeoman, all claims in law which she has or might have against him, arising from any action or actions prior to the date of the presents. Deed poll, a completed pro-forma, signed by Alice Adam, witnessed by Robert Crosse, William Scotte, and Henry Scotte (the latter two making their marks). Red oval seal on tag, which is endorsed: 'Alice Adams / generall acquittance'. Endorsed in a contemporary hand: 'Eversdon'. Further endorsed in pencil: '38'.
