The will of Joan Adams, wife of Thomas Adams of Great Eversden. She leaves her soul to Almighty God, and desires that her body be buried in the churchyard of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Great Eversden. She leaves to the bells of St Helen's Church, Little Eversden, two bushels of dredge ('duos modeos dreget''), and to Isabella Heryng a green tunic. The rest of her clothing is to go to her daughter Katherine. Everything else she leaves to her husband, who she appoints her executor. Endorsed with record of probate in the archdeaconry of Ely, dated 28 Sep 1452, and in a later hand: 'Eversden'. Further endorsed in pencil: '25'.
