Roger Clerk of Great Eversden confirms his gift (with warranty) to his two daughters Isabella and Joan, or to the survivor, of 20 selions of arable land in the fields of Great and Little Eversden. Of these, two selions lie in the field of Heydon, next the land formerly belonging to William Tiketin, abutting at one end on the public highway. Nine selions lie together in the same field, adjoining the land of Henry Clerk and abutting at one end on le Mare. Four selions lie together in the field of Brunnebrok' at Toft Weye, adjacent to lands of John Cokerel, three further selions lie at Drey Welle adjoining John le Rous's land and abutting land formerly Richard Buk's. The remaining two selions are in the shot ('cultura') formerly belonging to John Campion, adjoining Simon Pudifat's land, abutting on a stream. The annual rent charged is one peppercorn, payable on Christmas Day, and the holder of the land is also obliged to provide a one-pound wax candle every year to the chancel of the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Great Eversden, to be burned on the eve of the Assumption before the shrine there.
