Scope and Contents
In return for the yearly payment of three-halfpence to keep one wax candle before the altar of the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in [Great] Eversden on Christmas Day, Hugh the chaplain of Great Eversden quitclaims to William Faber the land which he held of William outside his close in Eversden. Deed poll, witnessed by Luke of Evesdon, John Chyne, Thomas FitzLucas, Simon? Faber, William FitzLucas, William Pudifat, Hugh Carpenter, John son of John of Caldecot (who has written the deed), and others. Seal wanting. Endorsed in pencil: '6'.
