Whereas by Indenture dated 11 September 1783, reciting that upon treaty for the intended marriage of the testatrix, Marianne Dorothy Dalrymple, then Marianne Dorothy Harland, with William Dalrymple it was agreed that Sir Robert Harland, Bt, of Sproughton, Suffolk, father of the testatrix, should transfer to Charles Herbert of St George's, Hanover Square, and George Rogers, Navy Commissioner, certain annuities upon certain trusts, and that Sir Robert Harland had transferred the sum, it was agreed that the trust should be among other things that if the testatrix should die before her husband the trustees should stand possessed of the sum upon whatever trust the testatrix should by will direct; the testatrix orders that the trustees should transfer the sum to William Dalrymple her husband and Charles Herbert, and that they should stand possessed of a part of it in trust for her son John William Henry Dalrymple until he becomes 21 and that they shall then transfer the sum to him; if he die before 21 without issue, she directs the trustees to stand possessed of the sum in trust for her sister Susan Edith Rowley for life; after her death the trustees are to transfer the sum to her brother Sir Robert Harland Bt; further the trustees are to stand possessed of the remainder of the original sum in trust for her sister Susan Edith Rowley for life, and after her death for her son John William Henry Dalrymple until he becomes 21, and then transfer it to him; if he die before 21 without issue, then the trustees shall transfer the sum to her brother Sir Robert Harland, Bt; she gives to her sister Susan Edith Rowley certain personal belongings; she appoints the same executrix.
