Scope and Contents
Ambrose Brown of Great Blakenham bequeaths to Ann his wife certain household goods and money and to his nephew Ambrose Raynham a certain sum; to Ambrose Raynham the remainder of the term of the lease of the farm in his occupation; to his sister Sarah Sappage a certain sum, to his nephews and nieces Sarah Poole, John Sappage, Thomas Sappage, Ambrose Sappage, William Brown Sappage, and Elizabeth Sappage a certain sum; to his sister Mary Brown a certain sum and to her son Thomas Brown a certain sum towards placing him as apprentice; to his brother-in-law THomas Raynham a certain sum and to his nephews Thomas Raynham and William Raynham a certain sum; to John Fenn of Hadleigh and Mary Shyer of Ipswich a certain sum; he devises to Sarah Sappage and her heirs for ever certain land in Chelsworth on condition that they permit his sister Mary Brown to occupy it for life; he bequeaths the residue to Ann his wife and Ambrose Raynham; he appoints Ann his wife executrix and William Paine of Hitcham and Ambrose Raynham executors, and bequeaths a certain sum to William Paine. Witnesses: Henry Moore, William Riches, Peter Clarke.
