Indenture of Apprenticeship, Shefford, Bedfordshire
Scope and Contents
James Harwood of Clifton, Bedfordshire puts himself apprentice to William Leevitt of Shefford, cordwainer, for a term of five and a half years. The master is to find the apprentice a pair of shoes yearly. Witnesses: Thomas Lewinton, Thomas Giddins. The main portion of the document is printed, names and other specific details being filled in by hand.
