Scope and Contents
In consideration of #1,000, John Martindale Forlow of Cambridge, yeoman, assigns to William Woollard Creeke of Cambridge, tailor and robe-maker, his leasehold properties in White Bear Yard (Post Office Yard?), Sidney Street, Cambridge, originally leased by the trustees of Mrs Forrester's Charity to John Forlow in 1802, for 40 years (Doc 1897). Enclosed is a licence to alienate granted by the present trustees. 3 pages, signed and sealed by both parties, witnessed by Charles Edwards of Cambridge, solicitor, Andrew Storey his clerk, and Henry Pink of Cambridge, publican, duty stamps. Endorsed with receipt for consideration money, signed by Forlow, same witnesses. Parchment supplied by Morris of Bermondsey, engraving by Silvester of The Strand. Enclosed licence dated 25 Mar 1824, 3 pages, signed by William Beales, apothecary, Elliot Macro Smith, upholsterer, John Carter, grocer, Charles Finch esq, John Bowtell, bookbinder, and Joseph Gee, gent, all of the parish of All Saints, Cambridge, witnessed by John Finch of Cambridge, solicitor.
