Conveyance and assignment, Norton, Durham
Scope and Contents
Thomas Anstey esq, late of Bath, Somerset, who is emigrating to Canada, assigns his interest under the will of his brother the late Revd Christopher Anstey of Norton, Co Durham, in trust to his fellow devizees Christopher John Anstey esq of Warwick and Henry Bosanquet esq of Saville St, Middlesex, whom he also appoints his attorneys. Thomas was bequeathed #3,000 and a fifth share in his brother's residual estate, which included real property in Durham to be sold under the terms of his will. 3 pages, signed and sealed by all parties, witnessed(for Christopher John Anstey) by James Hodgson of Lincoln's Inn Fields, solicitor, and Thomas Leach Street his clerk, (for Thomas Anstey) by Robert Batten of the High St, Bristol, chemist, and A Hayden of Bath, writer, and (for Bosanquet) by James Hodgson, duty stamps. Form of indenture supplied by Mills and Son, law stationers, of Carey St, Lincoln's Inn.
