Scope and Contents
Pursuant to agreement in Doc 1810, John Dowsing of Godmanchester, clerk, Richard Skeels, John Gardner, and John Marriott, all of Chatteris, yeomen, release to John Holdfast, Christopher Anstey DD of Brinkley, and Mary Anstey, all errors, misprisions etc concerning a judgement obtained against them by Holdfast on the demise of the Ansteys for lands in Trumpington, Chatteris, Willingham, Great Shelford, Cherry Hinton, Grantchester, Hauxton, and Barnwell, Cambridgeshire, or concerning the confirmation of that judgement in the court of Exchequer upon a writ of error presented by them. 2 sides, signed and sealed by Dowsing only, witnessed by John Heaton and Philip Carteret Webb, duty stamps.
