Scope and Contents
Conveyance by Rosalinda Foss. late of Stockwell and now of Calais, France, widow, Capt John Thompson RN of Connaught Square and his wife Maria, the two ladies being co-heiresses of Daniel Hamiul, who died intestate in 1822, of their 110+ acres of freehold and copyhold 'fen ground' and 'Cow Crofts' in Coveney and Witcham, to William Nix of Somersham, Huntingdonshire, farmer. The consideration is #3,100 John Nix, also of Somersham, farmer is named as a trustee for William Nix 6/7 Feb 1829, lease signed and sealed by Foss and both Thompsons, release of 6 pages signed and sealed by same parties and Nix. Lease and release endorsed as entered in the Bedford Level Company Register on 5 Mar 1829, duty stamps, sketch map of premises on page 3; receipt of consideration money endorsed on page 6.
