Scope and Contents
Account of money owed by William Nix to John Sewell, relating to the sale of freehold and copyhold land in the manor of Chatteris Nunns, Chatteris, manor of Doddington, March and elsewhere by Edward Ruston to Nix. The entries are dated August 1841 and include searches of manorial records in Cambridge, March and Chatteris, giving opinions on abstracts of title, conveyancing and stamp duty. 1841, 2 sides, attached is a receipt for #35 16s 8d dated 4 Nov 1841 signed by Sewell upon settlement, duty stamp.
