Discharge of conditional surrender, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
Scope and Contents
George Palmer of Chatteris, farmer, made conditional surrender of a property at Hive End with adjoining land in Burnsfield, manor of Chatteris Ramsey, on 23 May 1803, to the use of John Gardner esq of Chatteris, to secure payment of #160 plus interest. Palmer defaulted on the repayment, and Gardner is now dead. William Dunn Gardner of Chatteris esq, formerly William Dunn, his wife Jane being daughter and executrix of the late John Gardner, now requests and authorises the steward of the manor court to enter a satisfaction and discharge of and for the conditional surrender. Signed by William Dunn Gardner, witnessed by Thomas Sewell, attorney, of Chatteris.
