Scope and Contents
Simon Reynolds of Chatteris, yeoman, stands bound to Elizabeth Billupps of Chatteris, widow, in #40 to pay her #20 with interest on 2 Feb 1728, according to a proviso appearing in a condconditional surrender of even date, made by Reynolds of lands 'of the mannor Sutton' to the use of Billupps. The mark of Simon Reynolds with trace of seal, witnessed by William Crosse and Richard Clarke, duty stamps. Endorsed: 'Retrograde Interest due to November 1735' and the same due in 1737, 1738 and 1742. Endorsed in later hands 'Custances Lot' and 'Custances'.
